Peter Monologue By Allen Moore This monologue was written in 1999 for initial performance at King's Chapel Christian Center in Springfield MO. It has since been performed at West County Assembly of God in St. Louis MO. The monologues catalogues the Passion story from the triumphal entry to Jesus' appearance to the disciples after the resurrection from the eyes of Simon Peter. It includes communion which, at King's Chapel, was also used with the congregation taking communion at the same time. It, like the Abraham and Sarah duologue, includes notes for underscore music throughout the performance. At King's Chapel this underscore music was prerecorded except for Were You There which was performed by a clarinet player but, at West County Assembly, the underscore was performed live by a pianist and cellist. The monologue ends with Don Franscisco's He's Alive sung by Peter. For this song, I used a sound track at West County Assembly and a live guitarist at King's Chapel. The music for this song is NOT included with the script and must be attained by the performer. The script may be provided in a hard copy or .pdf format for $10. Royalties per performance are $15 and must be paid at least one week prior to the scheduled performance. Arrangements to pay for the script and/or the royalties via PayPal can be made by emailing allen@akirpublishing.com. A short excerpt of the script can be read here. |
