A Christmas Carol Script Excerpts Second Cratchit Scene Second Cratchit Scene--This is the scene in the Cratchit House that actually happens on Christmas Day after Scrooge's conversion. CRATCHIT Oh, Caroline. A merry Christmas to you. I have been so looking forward to this day off to spend with you and the family. MRS. CRATCHIT Me too, Bob. I just feel like this is going to be a special Christmas day. CRATCHIT You know, so do I. (TINY TIM enters, yelling, without HIS crutch) TINY TIM Father, mother! Look! The prayers worked! I can walk! CRATCHIT Oh, praise the Lord! (the rest of the FAMILY enters excitedly) MRS. CRATCHIT You see, Bob. I told you something great was going to happen this Christmas day. CRATCHIT Oh, Caroline. Isn’t it wonderful. TINY TIM Father, I want to say a special prayer for our Uncle Ebenezer. I believe that since God finally heard our prayers about my healing, maybe he will also hear and answer my prayer about his salvation. CRATCHIT I think that sounds like a great idea, Tim. (the ALL bow their heads as TIM prays) TINY TIM Dear Lord, I thank you so much that you heard our prayers and completely healed my leg. I also know that you love my Uncle Ebenezer and so much want for him to give his life over to you. I pray right now, wherever he is, that you will save him and show him what Christmas really means. Amen. MRS. CRATCHIT That was wonderful, Tim. I really believe that God heard your prayers. |
